Caerphilly micro-brewery achieves macro success. Wayne David, MP for Caerphilly, has visited The Celt Experience brewery on the Pontygwindy Industrial Estate in Caerphilly. Here he met with Tom Newman, the Managing Director and Head Brewer, and personally congratulated him on the success of the brewery. Recently, Mr David attended the annual dinner of the All Party Parliamentary Beer Group in Westminster and was delighted that one of the brewery's beers was chosen as the accompaniment to the main course. MP welcomes Shaw Healthcare U-turn. Wayne David, MP for Caerphilly, has welcomed the decision by Shaw Healthcare not to sell by auction any of its houses in Bedwas and Trethomas. Mr David has spoken with Shaw Healthcare who confirmed that they had decided "because of local pressure" not to sell through auction any of their properties in Bedwas and Trethomas. Welsh Blood Service - 6 August 2010

MP gives blood. Wayne David, MP for Caerphilly, has given blood at the Mobile Donor Clinic at the Bedwas Workmen's Hall (The Greenfly), Old Newport Road, Bedwas, Caerphilly. Mr David said, "All blood donations help save lives. By donating blood you can help the Welsh Blood Service replenish their stocks and help seriously ill patients in Wales. Police Commissioners - 3 August 2010

Wayne David opposes superannuated police sheriffs. Wayne David, Shadow Wales Office Minister and Labour MP for Caerphilly, has attacked the Government over its "crack pot ideas" to introduce directly elected police commissioners. The Home Secretary has published a consultation paper in which she proposed the creation of directly elected police and crime commissioners to replace police authorities.
