Today, 14^th November, Anne welcomed the announcement by the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, James Purnell MP, that the Post Office Card Account (POCA) was to be awarded to the Post Office.

Anne said, “This announcement is great news for local post offices in my constituency as the card account is an important source of income and helps brings customers through the doors.”

Anne had recently met with James Purnell MP to raise the issue directly with him as she believes this will help to protect local post offices, which play such an important role in the local community.

Anne also offered her thanks to everyone who had been in touch about the Post Office Card Account for their support.
