Anne Supports RNIB Lobby

Anne with Mikey Hughes

On 15th October Anne supported the Royal National Institute of Blind People’s lobby of Parliament, where the organisation called for the higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) to be extended to people with severe sight loss.

Anne was involved as she is the co-sponsor of the current Early Day Motion in Parliament, EDM 1982 “MOBILITY BENEFITS FOR BLIND PEOPLE”, which calls on the Government to end the exclusion of blind people from this component of DLA.

Anne is seen pictured with Mikey Hughes, of Big Brother fame who, as someone with severe sight loss, was also supporting the RNIB’s lobby.

Promoted by Ray Collins, General Secretary, the Labour Party, on behalf of the Labour Party, both at 39 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0HA.
