Date: 18 July 2008 Time: 5.30pm – 7.00pm The place: The Grafton Hotel, Gateford Road, Worksop
The Grafton Hotel, Gateford Road in Worksop have invited John Mann MP to a "Question Time" session as publicans across the country celebrate Proud of Pubs Week 2008.
John Mann is one of more than 100 MPs visiting pubs during the national celebration of pubs, organised by The Publican magazine, which runs from July 13 to 20.
The Grafton Hotel not only serves the local community but is also a successful microbrewery producing beer for pub chains across the country including Whetherspoons and Bateman's. The MP will be seeing for himself the positive contribution that The Grafton Hotel makes in the community, as well as discussing issues currently concerning publicans with its licensee Linda Allcock. Linda is also using the opportunity for customers to speak to John about their own questions and concerns.
John Mann commented "I am concerned about the difficulties that our local pubs are facing and I am delighted to have the opportunity to support a well-run pub during Proud of Pubs Week".
Daniel Pearce, managing editor of The Publican, said: "Pubs do so much for their communities and we thought it was about time that more MPs dropped in to their local to see that for themselves! Proud of Pubs Week is a great opportunity for pub landlords to shout out about all the great things they do.
"As pubs face up to unprecedented challenges in 2008, Proud of Pubs Week is the ideal time to drop into your local and give it a try." |
