Please could you debate dental charges, my daughter is 15yrs of age and needs a brace to her top teeth, my dentist informs me that 2yrs ago this would have been done free of charge on the NHS
seemingly the goal posts have been moved and i now have to pay privately for this treatment even though my daughter is still only 15yrs old! The tratment will cost me £1,600 possibly more because I
may have to pay for the consultation fees, surely this can't be right . My Husband and I have been tax payers since the age of 16 (now 48 & 49 respectfully)and labour supporters to boot! how are
ordinary people expected to fund this type of thing along with university fees (next year incidentaly for other child ) do the people who have changed the goal posts for dental care, treatment etc
actually know what these orthodontist's are charging? I dont know what you think about the cost but I feel it is bordering on the obscene. My friend also had to pay private for her child who
unfotunately had 2 braces in place at a cost of £2,800! I would welcome your comments, many thanks.
