Floods Fair has Good Attendance

Many local residents from local villages and Retford travelled to Sturton le Steeple on Saturday 12 July for the Flood Fair. People with ongoing concerns regarding the flooding last year or wish to protect their properties from future flooding came to meet with the agencies with responsibility with flood related issues. These included Bassetlaw District Council and the Environment Agency.

John Mann hosted the event and was pleased that it was such a success. He commented "I met with people who remain fearful that their properties will flood again. They highlighted issues that still need to be taken up and I am keen to work to ensure that everything that can be done to prevent flooding is done."
