The Bassetlaw Anti-Social Behaviour Handbook is now available on request from John Mann MP.
The MP has produced the handbook to give people useful information on the various laws which are in place to tackle anti-social behaviour. The handbook
covers menaces and nuisances including street drinking, gangs, illegal use of mini-motos, harassment, neighbours from hell and illegal traveller encampments.
The handbook will empower local people to demand action from the Police and council on anti-social behaviour in their community.
Many copies have already been distributed to residents and organisations across Bassetlaw.
Residents wishing to request a copy of the handbook should contact John Mann MP on 01909 506200 or email mannj@parliament.uk
John Mann MP said:
“The Government has introduced many important new laws to help tackle anti-social behaviour. These laws will only be effective if they are enforced; local
people need to know what the law says and how the law can be used to tackle yobs and neighbours from hell locally. My handbook gives concise and direct information on what laws can be used, helping
local people to demand action. This is about making sure people are properly informed. People should always contact the Police to report crime and anti-social behaviour; this is not about
encouraging people to be have-a-go heroes.”
