Extra cash
for 'difficult' city families
Nottingham
Evening Post - Wednesday October 29
2008
The
Government has allocated extra funding to help break the cycle of
deprivation in Nottingham.
The city has
previously been selected as an Early Intervention city, providing
extra help for 50 groups of youngsters and their families who are
regarded as being the 'most difficult'.
Now the
extra Government cash, to be awarded over three years, will be used
to reach a further 50 families.
Nottingham
North MP Graham Allen, a
pioneer of the scheme, said: "If you don't work with them they
are going to be the bad boys on the street, or the neighbours from
hell, so this is money very well spent."
