Further news of the Tories' plans for the borough were revealed in the Esates Gazette this week. Following the recent revelation that they intend to redevelop the West Ken estate as part of a major commercial development in Earls Court comes news that they intend, in concert with Network Rail, to construct a small town above the railway sidings in Wormwood Scrubs.

They seem unperturbed by the fact that a similar scheme in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, resulted in near-catastrophe when a Tesco store collapsed onto the railway line shortly after a commuter train had passed through. (full story here)
