Hammersmith & Fulham's Tory council delayed giving planning permission for the new health centre at White City for two years so they could get rid of the affordable homes to be built above it.

When Ken Livingstone lost the election in May they moved quickly to remove ALL the affordable rented homes from the development in one of the highest areas of housing need in the country. But they were too greedy - their plans fell foul of the GLA's planning rules which boris Johnson has not had time to change.

The Tories of course ignored the objection and outvoted Labour attempts to defer the decision, but now Labour councillors will call on the GLA to step in and reinstate the affordable homes. Once again the Tories are trying to delay the much needed homes and health centre for White City residents.
