Mary Smith said, "I am ensuring, through my scrutiny role, that the necessary works are carried out on all streams and brooks in the area. It is vital that maintenance is carried out on these watercourses to minimise the risk of the very serious problems that faced many of you last Summer happening again."
Jan Lugg said, "I have asked that the Saintbridge Balancing pond be a priority when the government money is spent."

Update
Jan Lugg is on the Flood Recovery Task Group of the City Council. Further work on the Sudbrook and the Twyver is being carried out during May and June.
Work on the Saintbridge Balancing Pond will be carried out during the Summer with a completion date in November.
