Three Choirs Celebration

Kate Haigh in the Civic ProcessionAs Gloucester began to recover from the floods and water problems, Mayor Harjit Gill, Sheriff Jan Lugg and City Councillor Kate Haigh with other members of the Council, welcomed visitors to the City to celebrate the opening of the Three Choirs festival.

The festival has been running since 1715 and the organisers were very pleased to be able to go ahead with relatively minor changes to the program.

Amongst the visitors were dignitaries from our twin towns of Gouda, Trier and St Ann as well as Civic representatives from Hereford, Worcester, Tewkesbury and Cheltenham.
