The Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP is calling on the shipping company Fedex to release the package it is holding in its Accra office. The package was sent by students of Hamilton Community College in Leicester as a Christmas gift to the Children’s Home of Hope orphanage in Ghana.

Keith Vaz MP said:

“The students of Hamilton Community College have spent a great deal of time and effort in establishing a link with the Children’s Home of Hope. It is unacceptable that their gift should be held ransom for a price that the orphanage cannot possibly afford.”

“I hope this matter will be resolved quickly and hope the students’ truely compassionate spirit is not dampened by this incidence.”
