David Chaytor recently visited the University of Bolton to encourage Year 11 boys from Bury to make the most of their chances.
Aim Higher in Bury has assigned Liquid Thinking guru Damian Hughes to help 100 local Year 11 boys to realise their potential through a conference at the
University of Bolton.
Damian, who used to be a football coach at Manchester United Academy before becoming HR director at Unilever, currently works as a volunteer for a local lads boxing club in
Manchester and through his company Liquid Thinking, works with schools and businesses to help improve motivation and productivity.
David said:
“I’m really pleased to support this conference as I’m keen for all children – especially Bury boys – to get the most out of their time at school.
“Aimhigher does an excellent job of giving support to bright young people who want to go on to Higher Education, making sure all those who have the inclination to go to University
of further training are given the right coaching to do so.
“It is particularly important that boys from disadvantaged areas are made aware of the opportunities that are available to them if they want to pursue a chosen career or
vocation.”
