Welcome to my regular column for my constituents: 25th July 2008
It's been a hectic few weeks in parliament, but it's been no less busy in Lewisham. Many of you will have received a survey from me about gun and knife crime. Obviously, it's a desperately important problem and I believe it's vital that parliamentarians take decisions on issues like this in full grasp of the views of their constituents. I've been really heartened by the response, which has been very high indeed. The results won't just sit on my desk either; I'll be contacting all of you who responded with details of what happens next. On a happier note, I was delighted to attend the 125th anniversary celebrations at Baring school. Steve Bullock and I had a wonderful time and it was a pleasure to attend. Here's to the next 125 years! Bridget
