The Slave Britain Exhibition at Lewisham library
commemorates the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade.
I support Amnesty's Campaigns against people
trafficking.
The Government's Warm Front Campaign has helped
over 1,500 households in Lewisham East to have better heating.
Eleven years ago I opened the Heather Close Centre
and it was a pleasure to make a return visit.
I spent the afternoon with Bella Encabo and her staff and met
many of the reridents.
