Help with Work

If you are facing difficulties at work there is advice available to check you are being treated fairly: · The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas) offers free, confidential and impartial advice on all employment rights issues

· Trade unions offer advice and support for members.

If you find that you are facing redundancy there is help available to find a new job and the Redundancy Payments Helpline is able to check that employers have calculated your statutory redundancy pay correctly.

You can get:

· Help finding a job, applying for it and going to an interview from your local Jobcentre Plus.

· Access to Job Seekers Allowance to provide financial support.

· The help and support you need to get into work with the New Deal programmes.

· Help matching your skills to the requirements of other firms in the area
